Hello! I'm a writer, editor, and crafter living in New York. I'm currently a deputy editor at Vox’s vertical on consumerism, The Goods, and worked at Racked and BuzzFeed before that. My work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, NPR, Brooklyn Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Vogue Knitting, The Hairpin, The Billfold, and other places; I've also done segments for The Today Show, Good Morning America, and a whole bunch of local and national television and radio shows. My first book, The Curse of the Boyfriend Sweater, was published by Flatiron Books in 2018, and my second is forthcoming from Abrams in the fall of 2020.
(Also: I used to run a sporadic reading series with one pal, a newsletter about cravings with another, and I've taught classes on essay writing. Now I have an equally sporadic newsletter about video games and sometimes crafting.)
